THE THINKING BEHIND THE ANSWER

How this calculation works

CBM measures the space a shipment occupies. This tool totals identical rectangular cartons and also converts the result to cubic feet. Use the shipping workbench when your cartons have different sizes.

Total CBM = length × width × height × quantity, after converting dimensions to meters.

Your calculation, step by step

  1. Convert each dimension from cm to meters.
  2. Multiply the three dimensions to get 0.072 m³ per box.
  3. Multiply by 10 boxes to get 0.72 m³.
A worked example

Ten cartons measuring 60 × 40 × 30 cm occupy 0.72 m³.
