How this calculation works
Dates are treated as calendar dates, so daylight-saving changes do not add or remove a day. Count completed months from the original birth date, then divide them into years and 0–11 remaining months. End-of-month anniversaries are clamped to the last valid day: a February 29 birthday reaches its anniversary on February 28 in a non-leap year. Legal age rules may use a different convention.
